About

Hey there, I’m Matt!

My work is a love letter to nature. I create pieces to celebrate the moments in life that pass us by every day; packaged to be affordable without compromising on quality. Curious about my work? Feel free to take a look at my store.

I’m usually out on trails.

Probably unsurprising, but it should be noted that nature paths and hiking trails are where I feel most at peace and where I find my beautiful bits of nature.

Sometimes I’m traveling.

There are some times when I have the ability to travel, and I certainly do my best to make the most of it. You can see some of it in my work, and find more information about my travels in my blog.

Other times I’m writing.

Sometimes I have an urge to write. You’ll find my musings and whatever I think might be interesting to share on my blog. It may be photography-related, or something else, but I’ll do my best to keep things organized to make it easy to browse!

Fun fact: I use Linux.

I switched to GNU/Linux as my primary operating system over a decade ago and haven’t looked back since. To that end I pretty much exclusively use open source software. For some parts of my workflow I’ve written bash scripts and other utilities.

The world is a big place, so big we can become overwhelmed with it all, so chaotic that we might look up and yearn for the calm skies and quiet starry nights which always seem out of reach. If you get this feeling, remember: beauty can be found in the earth—the place you can touch. Whether it be open fields dotted with the chirping of crickets and birds or time spent with family, the present is our home; co-inhabited by so many small miracles which can be found when we look for them. The sky may be quiet, but the earth holds life, and life holds joy.

To those who have and continue to support me, thank you for being a part of my journey. I’m always striving to be better, improve my craft, and make pieces that are even better than the last—for myself, and for you.

Sincerely,
